Easter Haul....

Easter. How I love this Holiday ! When I was younger this holiday was so exciting and magical. Dying eggs, dressing up Easter Sunday, and going to sleep early so the Easter bunny would come. I remember imagining a bunny hoping from house to house leaving baskets full of toys, candy, and other goodies. When I got older the holidays kind of lost their magical appeal. Now that I have my son I look forward to creating these new experiences for him and making them magical just as they seemed when I was younger.

Today I brought a bunch of things and made his Easter basket. Since he is young he can't have candy so I substituted with Gerber finger foods and snacks. I brought him bubbles, toy cars, chocolate bunnies (for me and the hubby) lol, plastic eggs, and egg dying kits. I hope everyone enjoys their Easter and I definitely want to make Easter cupcakes !

Crossroads....

Right now I'm in a crossroad. I'm not quite sure where my life is heading, and which road to take. I'm so confused. I love being a stay at home mom, but I don't quite know where to go from here. If you would had asked me last year what I'm doing with my life I would have told you finishing my degree in early childhood education. You ask me that now and I'd just give you a blank stare. At this point I don't know what I want and it's bothering me. Where is my calling in life? Anyone ever felt this way before?

Weekend Recap

I had a great weekend I hope you guys did too !

Friday
My weekend started with me packing to get ready to go to New Jersey. Normally I hate packing and getting things organized because it always takes f.o.r.e.v.e.r but surprisingly this time went extremely smooth. I also got a new phone *HOORAY*. My last phone was at its last breath...literally...lol. I was going to New Jersey in support of a cancer fund raiser called "Queen of hearts" and also to see the fiancé's side of the family. It was an amazing fund raiser that gives money to people undergoing cancer treatment so that they don't fall behind on their rent, car notes, phone bills, electric bills, etc. It made me feel happy being a part of this because I lost my grandmother to cancer and I know having cancer can put alot of stress on an individual because it can cause bills to pile up. And I was happy that they at least made paying bills one less thing to
Worry about. The event that I went to was a bingo event in which we played for coach bags and they had raffles. Although I didn't win anything i still had a blast. I did bad on my diet because they had so many goodies that were home made, wine, and pizza. That night as filled with lots of laughs with a bunch of ladies. It was definitely an enjoyable event and I plan on going to the one they have in November.

Saturday:
I spent Saturday with my fiancé's family. They were spoiling my son rotten, and he was definitely basking in all the attention. We watched movies, had dinner together, and lots of laughs.

Sunday:
Sunday I went to "Wally World" A.K.A "Walmart" LOL. They don't have one in New York so I always make it a point to stop by it when I'm in NJ. I stocked up on baby food, snacks, and household items. We also all went out to dinner at "Applebee's." Not to toot my own horn but my son is always so well behaved in restaurants, and it makes me one proud momma.

Dear scale

Dear scale,
Why aren't you going down? It's been a week and you have been the same. It's driving me b a n a n a s ! You are totally setting my goal weight by a certain time frame back, and it's quite irritating ! I decided to part with you for three weeks. I feel that weighing myself everyday (I've become quite impulsive) isn't healthy and it doesn't make me feel good when I don't see the numbers go down. Lately I have just been focusing on eating healthy, walking, and enjoying each day rather than worrying about the weight loss. Putting so much emphasis on the numbers going down puts w a y too much stress on me because I feel down when I don't see what I want so I'm taking a break from the scale for a while.....

Anyone who is trying or has tried to lose weight experiencing the same thing?

Nine Months In And Nine Months Out

When I was 9 months pregnant i never could have pictured being a mother to a nine month old. Then again I was battling heart burn, peeing every 2.5 seconds, and my stomach getting in the way of everything. Being a mother to a nine month old is awesome I'm absolutely l o v i n g this stage !

What's baby Frankie up to:
- He says "dada" no stop I'm about to ban it until he starts saying mama lol

- He stands for a minute at a time but doesn't crawl. His way of getting to and from somewhere is rolling non stop but he's not into crawling.

- He eats second baby foods about 3-4 a day.

- He sleeps 10-12 hours at night.

- He went to the park for the first time.

- He loves my dog & loves playing fetch with Simba it's the cutest thing.

- He wears 9-12 month clothing and size 4 pampers

- He behaves so well in restaurants and is great when we take him out.

That about sums it up and I can't believe my little man is 9 months !

Partying Like a rockstar

This weekend was awesome ! I can honestly say it was one of the best. My son went to a birthday party for the first time & had a ball ! He was partying like it was 1995! LOL (I just had to throw that corny line in there). It was so exciting seeing him Interact with other children and smiling non stop. I almost let a tear loose...lol. It was a 3rd birthday party for his cousin Samantha who turned 3. The party took place at a kids gymnasium. I was a little hesitant because I didn't think he would have fun because he can't walk but boy was I wrong ! He spent time in the ball pit with other children I forced myself to get past all the germs & "how often do they sanitize this thing" and just went with the flow. They had a puppet show and he was dancing up a storm. They had a small mini disco and although, he couldn't join in the older kid games he was able to watch. He clapping non stop. It's moments like these that I'm so happy to experience these "first experiences" with him and watch his face light up it truly means the w o r l d to me. Did I mention how exhausted he was when he got home he slept a total of 12 hours...wowzers!!! When's the next kid's party? Lol j/k

How was your weekend?

A day in the park

I took my son to the park on Wednesday. It was his second time going to the park. He didn't quite like the sun in his eyes or being on the swing for that matter lol. He watched every child carefully and was extremely curious as to wear they all doing. It was the cutest thing. I can't wait for the summer to get here so I can take him to so many different places. Thats the one thing I look forward to being a mother. Being able to introduce my son to all types of new places and experiences. When I was younger my mom always made it a point to always take us to different places when we were little. My father was always working so it was just the three of us (me, my mom, & sister). She took us places like central park, zoos, picnics, bike riding, museums, amusement parks, botanical gardens, & broadway shows. I plan to do the same with my son, because to me that's important. I honestly think my mom taking me everywhere reflects on who I am as a person. I love going new places and having new experiences and I want that for my son. I want him to not live in a box, but to act like the box doesn't even exist.

Hello there....

My little abandoned blog that I have deserted :( I missed blogging but due to the circumstances like my Mac book pro deciding to kick the can & my iPhone getting water damage thanks to yours truly little Frankie...I haven't been able to blog..I honestly think I'm jinxed when it comes to technology....I've yet to have a iPod that hasn't broken within a year, a phone that hasn't broken, etc. currently I'm using my iPad I get chills just saying that because deep down I'm wondering "are you next iPad? My one source of technology that allows me to enjoy my down time and read other people's blogs watch parenting vlogs, & google anything that comes to my hypercondriac mind?" lol.

The happenings:

I finally found a place to do my son Frankie's 1st birthday. After many messages, stalker calling, and stressing out I found a hall where he's going to have his "Yo Gabbs Gabba" themed birthday. I also booked Brobee who is his favorite character from the show I'm just hoping it's not a disdapointment. Last thing I need is a doped up Brobee who smells like booze lol...I also booked a clown and magician...I'm very much looking forward to his first birthday and I'm really enjoying skimming through etsy looking at different ideas and getting in touch with my creative Side (yes she's, there deep in there). Lol Any birthday ideas, sites that are good, or anything kid party related please feel free to let me know. It's my first child friendly party I'm throwing so I'm open for suggestions

I lost a total of 18 pounds!!!! Yippee! I started at 155...before I was pregnant I was 119 and I sky rocketed to 179 during my pregnancy !!!!!!Its a slllloooow process losing the weight but I'm eating healthy and taking it one day at a time. If I ever have another child in the future I'm definitely going to be careful about what I eat ! The good thing is I'm stsrting to get my confidence back...and I finally fit in my old jeans !!!!!! Good-bye maternity pants and hello sexy momma pants ! Lol :D

Frankie news: he's going to be 9 months on the 19th!!! Time is literally flying seems like yesterday I wrote his 8 month update...I took him to the park yesterday and we had a blast ! I can't wait for the weather to start being nice so everyday I can take him on walks with me.

Well this about sums it up I wish I could include pictures but next week I should have a phone and hopefully a new computer xoxo
