New Job and Photography

I live above a boutique that offers a variety of things for women: bras, underwear, night gowns, lingerie, lotions, make up etc. I walked into the boutique to pay my land lady the rent because she owns the boutique and she offered me a part- time position in her store.  The position is to  to update her store's facebook page with new pictures, make a web page promoting her store, and selling her things online (I make 50 percent of whatever I sell and she also pays me for the designs).  Im extremely excited about this because I get to work from home! I still get the luxury of staying with my son, while also putting my creativity to use.  Below are a few shots that I took.  I'm not a professional by any means but I did enjoy taking these shots :)

  2. Finally you are using your good camera!!! Yay! These photos look great, my one suggestion is to make sure what you are trying to photograph is in focus. In the first photograph the butterfly is in focus, but the earrings are blurry. Also you could try laying the jewelry on top of a black scarf or blanket and then the jewelry will really pop!

For my newborn shoot, I used two different backgrounds. For the lighter ones I used a sheet hung between two chairs. For the purple one I had two matching purple blankets. I hung one behind us and had her laying on the other one.
